Powder-Coated Steel

Powder coating is an electrostatic process in which steel is sprayed with a colored powder paint. The coated steel is then cured in an oven, where the powder melts and hardens into an exceptionally strong and durable finish. For frames with a textured or non-solid color, the base is first powder coated and then hand-finished with a brush or sponge. A final clear coat is applied to seal and protect the surface, giving it a unique, textured appearance.
